Both these people existed, but this biography goes into the realm of fiction when portraying some of the stranger aspects. This makes for an intriguing story, but read a biography for the real thing.

I find the portrayal of 1920's England has a slightly spooky feel that makes the film rewarding, though not everyone likes it. Music buffs should get a lot out of it, though.
