John Steinbeck, only this time it's a comedy. You get more stereotypes and belly laughs than in his serious work - a bit of lightness for a change. A local in a fishing village (Monterey) comes into an inheritance, then all the layabouts start sponging off him. Don't look for Great Significance, this is light entertainment.
