In a nutshell:

1. write the .img directly to any 2GB or larger usb key.
2. boot your miner with it.
3. use menu items, editor, ssh, whatever to edit /etc/bamt/bamt.conf and /etc/bamt/pools
4. use menu item to restart mining, or command 'mine restart'.

Congrats, you're done.  Try to leave the thing alone now.
