The game takes us to the Middle Ages, where, as city builders and colony managers, we fight for survival, facing natural disasters and enemy invasions. Settlements Rising does not contain a clear plot line.

The gameplay in Settlements Rising is not much different from Banished or Farthest Frontier, focusing our attention on building and defending cities, acquiring raw materials and dealing with production chains. Having detailed data in the form of tables and charts at our disposal, we develop our colonies by improving buildings.

From time to time, we choose from random upgrade cards and use them as needed. They are intended for single use, but we can save them for future games to start a new game with saved bonuses.

The prosperity of our settlements attracts the attention of invaders, which forces us to build defensive towers and walls and train residents as soldiers. We export and import goods from other villages using merchant ships. We can also send special ships on exploration missions.

Settlements Rising is characterized by a simulation of the lives of residents from their birth to death. Each of them has its own character and needs for food, energy, health and warmth. When supplies run low, he goes shopping, and when he's tired, he rests after work. Our residents are born, grow up, gain education and take up one of 35 professions, and eventually the experienced ones grow old and die.


Settlements Rising offers simple, colorful graphics, developed using low poly objects.
