..::INFO::.. ETO: September 3, 2024 Game premiere: August 30, 2024 Genre: Strategy, War, Tactical, Turn-based Producer: Every Single Soldier Publisher: Every Single Soldier Crack: Not required Available Languages: English ..::DESCRIPTION::.. The first strategy game capturing the essence of the entire border war in South Africa, from Omugulugwombashe to UNTAG (August 1966 - March 1990) The year is 1966 and the South African Border War has begun and the South African Defense Force has been deployed to southwestern Arica. As a SADF commander, wage counter-insurgency (COIN) warfare to secure the region on the border with Angola. To win the hearts and minds of the local population, you will have to track and destroy the SWAPO rebels who are infiltrating the region from across the border and destabilizing it by intimidating the locals, planting mines and ambushing your forces. The rebels also have a bigger brother, the Angolan Army (FAPLA). This conventional army, supplied by the Soviets, has much broader ambitions than SWAPO, wanting to take complete control of the entire region as a milestone towards the unification of Angola under communist rule. FAPLA provides a safe base from which SWAPO can operate, but its primary goal is to destroy UNITA, the U.S.- and South African-backed faction. To accomplish the COIN mission, coordination of ground troops, special forces, artillery, mechanized units, training of local forces (SWATF) and air forces is necessary, but more important is gaining the support of the local population. Greater cooperation from local residents brings the reward of intelligence, a key factor in the COIN war. The war is not fought in isolation, so as commander of the SADF forces you will have the added complexity of managing support for the war at home, if you lose the support of the United Nations, the war will certainly be lost as well. This is a game that captures the true essence of the South African Border War, where counter-insurgency operations are paramount, intelligence gathering, tracking insurgents and destroying their bases in Angola play a key role, and stopping FAPLA could save the day. Promote and watch your personalized uniform transform from junior lieutenant to general as you relive the South African Border War.
