Kingsgrave takes us to a fantasy land whose glory days are already behind it. After its population was decimated by a terrible disease, the few inhabitants who managed to survive left these lands, and their place was taken by nightmarish creatures that devoured everything that stood in their way. However, all is not lost, as a long-dead king is brought back to life and his task is to cleanse the kingdom of the plague.

In Kingsgrave we see the action from a bird's eye view. The adventure takes us through a variety of locations - from forests and grassy plains, through deserts, to volcanic valleys. Before we can bring back subjects who will breathe life into them again, we must face the dangers lurking in these places, discover their secrets and solve the puzzles hidden there. Various adversaries stand in our way, with whom we fight dynamically, using melee weapons and various combat skills.
