Trapeze - a British band active in the years 1969-82, and then with breaks in the years 1991-94.
The core of the group consisted of guitarist and vocalist Mel Galley, bassist and vocalist Glenn Hughes and drummer Dave Holland.
After the departure of Hughes in 1973, who became the group's main composer and vocalist, the band continued its activities in various lineups. Several members left to join more famous bands such as Deep Purple, Whitesnake, Judas Priest and Uriah Heep.
However, the band never achieved the success and popularity it enjoyed in 1970-73.
