  August 2nd, 1964. The U.S. Destroyer Maddox is on peacekeeping maneuvers in
  the Gulf of Tonkin, Vietnam, when it is attacked by North Vietnamese torpedo
  boats. The Maddox is attacked again on August 4th. And the world would never
