Plot:

Mild-mannered everyman Bart Hughes has a great life in New York. When 
his wife and child leave for a vacation, Bart stays behind to work on a 
project that should get him a promotion. Some sort of rodent in his 
basement starts to bother him and consumes his time. Bart starts going crazy
trying to kill the creature, destroying most of his house in the process.

Trama:
------
Bart Hughes (Peter Weller), rampante dirigente a Wall Street, si è trasferito
con la moglie (Shannon Tweed) e il figlio in una casa di New York appena 
restaurata. Le cose non potrebbero andargli meglio e anche sul lavoro gli 
si prospetta una promozione. Ma quando moglie e figlio se ne vanno per 
una vacanza e lui resta da solo nella casa, diventa progressivamente 
ossessionato dalla derattizzazione sino a rendersi conto di essere incappato 
in una specie di duello con un intelligente topone. Per tentare di sconfiggerlo, 
non esita a demolire progressivamente il lavoro di restauro.
