The Addams Family is an American horror/black comedy sitcom adapted from the Charles Addams single-panel comic in The New Yorker Magazine. Both live-action and animated video versions have been created.

There were two live-action tv series - The New Addams Family 1998-1999 series being a revival of the 1964-1966 series. The revival aired from October 1998 to August 1999 on YTV in Canada, Fox Family in the United States, and CITV in the United Kingdom on weekends. It was produced by Shavick Entertainment and Saban Entertainment, and was shot in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

The Addams Family consists of husband and wife, Gomez and Morticia Addams, their children, Wednesday and Pugsley, as well as Grandmama, Uncle Fester, and their butler, Lurch. The Addamses are a close-knit extended family with decidedly macabre interests and supernatural abilities. No explanation for their powers is explicitly given. Some episodes in The New Addams Family are remakes from the original tv series, while some are exclusive to this show. Later episodes introduce a relative named Grandpapa Addams who has similar traits to Gomez. Grandpapa Addams was played by John Astin, who was Gomez in the original series. Enjoy!
