Hank Azaria made his debut appearance on the Stern Show Monday morning ahead of the premiere of “Brockmire,” his new IFC series. Naturally, Howard had a lot to cover with the Emmy-winning actor and “Simpsons” voice artist. Hank enthusiastically spoke about his IFC sitcom, which began life as a video on Funny or Die in 2010 (below) and grew into a passion project of his. “I sent [‘Brockmire’] off to many baseball guys I thought might get a kick out of it, one being [Bob] Costas,” Hank said. “He called it the generic baseball announcer voice, which is how I think of it.” Hank and Howard laughed about the seemingly identical styles of every baseball announcer. “They all have a professional timbre,” Hank said. “And they will all tell you, ‘Yeah, I kind of jack it up twenty percent.'” Hank pointed out that the basic comedy premise of “Brockmire” is “do these guys always sound like this?” General Complete name : Howard Stern Interview 04.03.2017 Hank Azaria-TS.mp3 Format : MPEG Audio File size : 29.3 MiB Duration : 1 h 6 min Overall bit rate mode : Variable Overall bit rate : 61.5 kb/s Writing library : LAME3.100 Audio Format : MPEG Audio Format version : Version 1 Format profile : Layer 3 Format settings : Joint stereo Duration : 1 h 6 min Bit rate mode : Variable Bit rate : 61.5 kb/s Minimum bit rate : 32.0 kb/s Channel(s) : 2 channels Sampling rate : 44.1 kHz Frame rate : 38.281 FPS (1152 SPF) Compression mode : Lossy Stream size : 29.3 MiB (100%) Writing library : LAME3.100 Encoding settings : -m j -V 8 -q 0 -lowpass 15.2 --vbr-new -b 32
