Initially, the five women performed under the name Miss Behavin'; however, they changed to the name Wild Rose shortly before signing to Universal Records. Under the production of James Stroud, Wild Rose's debut album (titled Breakin' New Ground) was released in 1988. The album produced one hit single in its title track, which peaked at #15 on the BillboardBillboard (magazine)
