But beneath the seemingly peaceful isolation of the pastoral village lies a savagery and violence that threatens to destroy the couple, culminating in a brutal test of Sumners manhood and a bloody battle to the death. One of the most controversial films ever made, Sam Peckinpahs Straw Dogs is a harrowing and masterful investigation of masculinity and the nature of violence. Since this version is now out of print I see it as my duty to upload this great film here for the benefit of the bittorrent community. If there is any interest, I could possibly upload Disc 2 here also. This is probably my favourite Sam Peckinpah movie. Throughout a very enjoyable movie, even though it's a lot less controversial now, than thirty or so years ago when it was originally released. Maybe the only backdrop for this masterpiece is the stereotypical portrait of the British country folk. However, this is a great film all in all and I hope you enjoy it. Let's keep this classic alive! Thanks once more to calanda @ Cinematik for making this version available. Very much appreciated!
