A collection of popular cheats for FALLOUT 3, gathered from many sources,
with a few found by myself.

You can bring up the console by pressing tilde ~ or on UK keyboards the ` key to the left of the number 1 key (above TAB)

To overcome problems with graphics shaders, uninstall ffdshow codecs or set ffdshow to ignore the game

if you are using K-Lite codecs or a similar package, uninstalling then re-installing, setup will allow you to chose which games to ignore.

to overcome probs on slower Pc's, set the game options to low and on the advanced tab, set actor fade to maximum (15)
this will allow you to see them in open ground without them sneaking up on you.

ITEM DUPLICATION

Do you need a couple of items but only have one ?

put your item into any container (or corpse) and bring up the console window.
click on the container (its name will appear at the top of the screen).
type inv and hit enter.
the contents of the container will be displayed along with an 8 digit code. 
(some items also display 2 other numbers, the items value and its health.)
type additem (8 digit code) (quantity wanted) hit enter.
close the console again and look in the container (or corpse) to get the goodies.
or
type player.additem (8 digit code) (quantity wanted) hit enter to put the goodies in your own inventory.

you can use the inv command to see what an npc is carrying
or add stuff to their inventory with 'additem'.

inv - to see what they have
removeitem (8 digit code) (how many) - deletes the selected item(s) you identified with the INV command 
removeallitems - deletes everything thats lootable - leaves them running round in theur underwear

open the console, click on your victim (they dont need to be near, just in view)
inv (to see what they have)
removeitem (code)(amount) - delete from their inventory
player.additem (code)(amount) - place item(s) in your inventory.

OPENING LOCKED SAFES, DOORS, CONTAINERS AND COMPUTERS

open the console, click on the locked item (check its name is displayed at the top of the screen)
type unlock and hit enter - some objects need to be clicked near the top of them - IE: top drawer of a filing cabinet
close the console again and whatever was locked is now unlocked.

getXPfornextlevel - show how much XP you need before you level up
advlevel - go up a level without changing current XP

player.setav (skill) (number - max 100)

NOTE : Changes to skills before you leave vault 101 can cause problems when you first level-up.

player.setav actionpoints (number)		how many points you have in VATS mode - try 500

tgm	toggle god mode (fire a couple of shots to test it. ON=no ammo used)

tcl	toggle no clipping mode - gets you out of pits and scenery glitches. handy to explore high ledges.
