The Destruction of Jerusalem, an Absolute and Irresistible Proof of the Divine Origin of Christianity an examination of the massive siege on Jerusalem in the year 70 AD by the Roman General Titus and his great armies. Jewry was completely destroyed along with its Temple and Jewish institution the Sanhedrin. The event was a fulfillment of Jesus words in Matthew about the coming judgment upon the Jews for their rejection of Him - including a narrative of the calamities which befell the Jews, so far as they tend to verify Our Lord's predictions relative to that event. With a brief description of the city and temple (1812) Rare Book Notes: This book's pages have turned color: they are now all brown, with darker spots on them. Paper is very thin, there are stains throughout, and the last page, P. 143-144, exists only by its upper half, the rest was torn out.
