http://imdb.com/title/tt0074462/ This was a coproduction between Norwegian and Swedish television, and is in it's 221 minute television format, as opposed to the shorter theatrical releases. Ingmar Bergman had something to say about this film, something important, in Swedish. The drama plays out in Norwegian and a bit of German, Danish and Swedish, but the narration is done by Peter Watkins himself, in English (correct me if I'm wrong). There are no famous actors in this film. Most were chosen for their similarity to those they are playing. August Strindberg, played by a descendant of his, and Hans Jaeger are Munch's role models during this period. It does not cover his whole life, mostly just until the turn of the century. The paintings themselves play a large role, as does color, duh. This is the Masters of Cinema PAL one-disc release. Uncompressed. It's large, so decide if you can seed back what you take. Don't destroy torrents!
