Recalling the events of October 16 1987 when the worst storm for 300
years raged across southern England, killing 19 people, destroying much
of the natural landscape and causing damage running into millions of
pounds. The programme uses computer-generated technology and first-hand
accounts to recreate the horrors and acts of heroism of the night.
