Thanks PS - Restoration Notes: While season 3 may have been the easiest to work with, season 4 was probably the hardest. Seasons 5-11 are somewhere in the middle. The important part is that they're done, and you can enjoy these episodes as they should be. Just like season 3, I used Sony's DVD set as a base. I used VOB Blanker to replace the old video files with the new ones. Standard changes s03-s11: - Restored "Love and Marriage" on all episodes. All intros and credits are corrected, and reflect how they originally were. - Restored the original end credits on all episodes. Music dubs were one thing, but the redone credits that lacked the credit for "Love and Marriage" always bothered me. Mill Creek's re-release, despite the claim of "Love and Marriage" being intact, did not correct this issue. - Last, but not least...restored this at the end of each episode: http://i.imgur.com/2UJTGfd.png [Columbia Pictures Television logo] Season 3: - Used the versions found on "The Most Outrageous Episodes" compilation DVDs for episode 5 and "The Lost Episode". In the former's case, the video was better than the season 3 DVD set, but the audio was worse (very hissy), so I've created a hybrid using the video from the Best Of set, and the audio from the season 3 DVD set, but keeping "Love and Marriage" intact. "The Lost Episode" was better all around on the Best Of, so that's used as is. - Season 3 required the least amount of work, but at the same time, it was work that needed to be done. This was more than just a dub job, though. I made sure that the end credits for each episode were as accurate as possible. You'll notice that some sound different than others...and yet, that's how it's supposed to be. All episodes were uncut to begin with, which helps matters when working on a project like this. The Mill Creek re-release does have the original music, but it lacks the accuracy that I've achieved here...not to mention, they used 2 discs (stuffing 11 episodes per disc) instead of 3, like Sony's set, thus, lower video quality. I used Sony's DVD set (which has been discontinued) as a base...all the menus and stuff are the same. I used VOB Blanker to replace the old video files with the new ones. Season 4: - Episodes 13 and 21 were taken from "The Most Outrageous Episodes" DVD compilations. 21 is the original, uncut version, whereas the season 4 DVD was the syndicated version. - Episodes 2, 3, 10, 15, 16, and 20 were taken from the Mill Creek re-release of season 4. These episodes are uncut, unlike the versions found on the Sony season 4 set (syndicated episodes). - "It's A Bundyful Life" is now one episode, as it's supposed to be. This restored version runs 46:50, is uncut, and even includes the short commercial bumpers that aired for this episode. Sources used include: Sony DVD for the first half, Mill Creek DVD for the second half, the commercial VHS release for one short transition (the scene with Al tied up in the shoe store), a TV recording from VH1 Classic for the end credits (they didn't use any network bugs or anything during the credits, which came in handy for me), and the original airing recording posted by MRPITT for the commercial bumpers. - Another note; since "It's A Bundyful Life" is now one episode, I had to alter the episode menu on Disc 2 to reflect this. I labeled the episode as "11-12." just to show that it's a double-length episode, and to not throw off the numbering on the rest of the episodes. Season 5: - Episodes 15, 21 and 22 were taken from "The Most Outrageous Episodes" DVD compilations. 22 includes a "Part 1" recap that wasn't on the season 5 DVD. Season 6: - only Standard changes Season 7: - Restored the original end credits on all episodes. Episodes 20, 21 and 24 ended with a small scene instead of the standard end credits. On the DVD, these were still images. On this release, it's the way they should be. Season 8: - Restored the original end credits on all episodes. Episodes 7, 15, 16, 18, 20, 23 and 24 ended with a small scene instead of the standard end credits. On the DVD, these were still images (except for 15, which was surprisingly left intact). On this release, it's the way they should be. - Episode 6 was taken from "The Most Outrageous Episodes" DVD compilations. - Last, but not least...restored this at the end of each episode: http://i.imgur.com/2UJTGfd.png (Note: the more familiar 1993-2001 jingle was used, starting with this season) Season 9: - Corrected on this new release, the "Part 1" recap from "I Want My Psycho Dad: Part 2, Second Blood" was restored. This brings the episode length from 22:10 to 23:06. Season 10: - only Stanard changes Season 11: - Also unlike the previous seasons, the end credits for this season was a very basic black screen with yellow text. All that needed to be done here was restore this still and include the proper edit of the Love and Marriage instrumental. Episode 1 has the credits completely intact, and thus, nothing needed to be done there. - Restored all "Previously on" recaps from episodes that had them. These were removed from the original DVD release
