Many of the Iranians I've met along the way are amongst the warmest human spirits anywhere including in particular a kindly landlord who rented a luxury condominium apartment in a fancy building called "The landmark of Thornhill" to me and my wife Elizabeth along with our two children many years ago now. Elizabeth sometimes had visits from a chap named Dhanishwaar who had been in the Shah's governing cabinet (and was an actor in his own right in Iranian movies) and who left her a generous painting when he died. In fact the maintenance manager (named Ali) in the townhouse complex I have lived in this past decade (in Canada) bought me a nice pair of shoes as a present when I happened to mention I was planning a trip to the store to buy a pair of loafers a year or so back. He now more happily lives in Turkey. Of course I reimbursed him for the cost and gave him a giftcard for the nearby Tim Hortons coffee chain as a bonus for being so kind in thought. enjoy the documentary of these folks who sometimes come across Italian or Greek etc and are as nice as any Ive ever met from the mideast or anywhere for that matter.
