This 1979 version BBC series is instead a boring for most of it, script for people who like British dialogue written mainly in simple riddles half the time with none of the eloquence it seems of a Jane Austen novel to recommend it. The only piece of dialogue which stuck out for me is a line in episode six wherein Ian Richardson's character (House of Cards) says Britain has no viability whatever in "world affairs" He goes on to say he "turned his eyes to the east" after seeing how "trivial Britain had become as a nation" I doubt "turning his eyes to the east" is the answer for Britain thanks for downloading and seeding if you care to Michael Rizzo Chessman (moviesbyrizzo)
