Reviews ~~~~~~~ By George W. Harris http://www.jazzweekly.com/2017/04/michael-attias-quartet-nerve-dance/ Alto saxist Michael Attias leads a highly intuitive quartet of Aruan Ortiz/p, John Hebert/b and Nasheet Waits/dr through a collection of fluid originals. There are oblique hints of Thelonious monk on the angular “Dark Net” and “La Part Maudite” while the team shows it can change gears on the assertive “Ombliilque.” Hebert and Waits do some dramatic work on “Dream in a Mirror” while Oritz displays soft hands on “Moonmouth.” Attias’ tone is warm and clear, and gets stark on “Boca de Luna” and gets free-ish on “Scribble Job Yin Yang” and “Le Pese-erfs.” Loose fitting, but it wears well. -- By Derek Stone http://www.freejazzblog.org/2017/06/michael-attias-quartet-nerve-dance.html By Dan Bilawsky http://www.allaboutjazz.com/nerve-dance-michael-attias-clean-feed-records-review-by-dan-bilawsky.php By John Sharpe https://www.allaboutjazz.com/nerve-dance-michael-attias-clean-feed-records-review-by-john-sharpe.php Marek Zając (pl) http://www.multikulti.com/nerve-dance.html Georges Tonla Briquet (nl) http://www.jazzenzo.nl/?e=3668 Johan Scherwin (se) http://www.lira.se/skivrecension/nerve-dance/ Muanis Sinanović (si) http://www.radiostudent.si/comment/47181 Par Nicolas Dourlhès (fr) http://www.citizenjazz.com/Michael-Attias-Quartet.html
