Time Spent Driving - Just Enough Bright (2017) [16.44 FLAC] Genre: Rock Styles: Emo, Indie Source: CD (log + cue) Codec: FLAC Bit rate: ~ 1,000 kbps Bit depth: 16 Sample rate: 44.1 kHz 01 Angel and I 02 Thin Like Paper 03 Leaving 04 Rain on Sundays 05 The Reason I Stay 06 If the Fault Fits 07 Your Abrasion 08 In Waiting 09 Sleep and Matchbooks 10 Flicker While Time Spent Driving may seem to be a very typical emo band, with their use of soft/loud contrasts and tales of broken hearts and romance, there's something more occurring on Just Enough Bright to make it worth a further listen. While showcasing lyrics of relationships and all the typical tales of broken hearts, lead singer Jon Cattivera's voice mesmerizes and infects, thereby swaying the listener over to Time Spent Driving's fluid, delicate tune. The use of piano on some of the songs only enhances the material. Perhaps it's only fair to say that Time Spent Driving is a step or two beyond where most emo acts are, primarily through their use of layered textures and a slightly darker edge, yet without losing sight of the need for a good pop song. Oh, and having a record produced by J. Robbins never hurts either
