V2 NOTE: encoding with Handbrake 1.0.7 Yadif/default/default still allowed some noticable interlacing motion artifacts in V1. With this V2 share Handbrake 0.10.3 Deinterlace=Slower was used and motion artifacts were minimized or eliminated. Also, the final encode sizes were slightly smaller.

This is a high quality encode of the most recent DVD release of the BBC's Sherlock Holmes from 1964. Each episode was carefully cropped and has chapters. The 2015 DVD release has 5 episode commentaries, "reconstructed" versions of the previously unreleased e06 The Abbey Grange and e10 The Bruce-Partington Plans, and an interview with Douglas Wilmer. e02 to e12 were encoded with AVC/x264 constant quality RF=20.0. e01 used RF=24.5 and e13 used RF=21.5. All audio was AC3 passthrough and the subs are the DVD picture based subtitles with no OCR. e01 has a 1.0 Spanish dub alternative audio track and there are English commentaries for e02, e03, e05, e06, and e11.

e06 The Abbey Grange episode partial reconstruction:
Of the two 25-minute film reels only the second survives and here 95-year-old Douglas Wilmer reads the opening half of the story to accompany the surviving footage.
NOTE: the e06 commentary only starts after wilmer's reading of the first missing reel at about 21m33s

e10 The Bruce-Partington Plans episode partial reconstruction:
The first reel exists of the episode and the remainder of the episode is represented by an audio recording mixed with extracts from the shooting script.
