Timber Timbre - Sincerely, Future Pollution (2017) [FLAC] Genre: Rock Styles: Indie, Singer/Songwriter Source: CD (log + cue) Codec: FLAC Bit rate: ~ 900 kbps Bit depth: 16 Sample rate: 44.1 kHz 01 Velvet Gloves & Spit 02 Grifting 03 Skin Tone 04 Moment 05 Sewer Blues 06 Western Questions 07 Sincerely, Future Pollution 08 Bleu Nuit 09 Floating Cathedral The haunted-sounding Canadian indie folk act Timber Timbre feature singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Taylor Kirk, who is supported by keyboardist/percussionist/violinist Mika Posen and guitarist/percussionist Simon Trottier. Taking inspiration for the project's name from a cabin in Ontario where Kirk made some of his first recordings, Timber Timbre independently released two albums, 2006's Cedar Shakes and the following year's Medicinals, before signing to the Canadian imprint Arts & Crafts. The label released Timber Timbre's self-titled album, which made the Polaris Prize long list, in 2009. Kirk and company spent much of 2010 touring with artists such as Jónsi and the Low Anthem, and also performed at that year's Calgary Folk Festival and Vancouver Folk Fest. Timber Timbre returned with their fourth album, Creep on Creepin' On, in early 2011, which found its way onto the short list for the Polaris Prize. They toured throughout much of 2012 and supported Laura Marling for a string of U.K. dates, and then fellow countrywoman Feist on her tour of America. In 2013 they returned to the studio to lay tracks down for 2014's Hot Dreams, which included vintage soul influences. They returned in 2017 with Sincerely, Future Pollution, which dealt in dark dystopian soundscapes inspired by politically chaotic times
