Alexisonfire - Crisis (2006) [24.96 FLAC] vinyl Genre: Rock Style: Post-Hardcore Source: Hassle Records HOFF016LP UK vinyl Codec: FLAC Bit rate: ~ 3,000 kbps Bit depth: 24 Sample rate: 96 kHz 01 Drunks, Lovers, Sinners and Saints 02 This Could Be Anywhere in the World 03 Mailbox Arson 04 Boiled Frogs 05 We Are the Sound 06 You Burn First 07 We Are the End 08 Crisis 09 Keep It on Wax 10 To a Friend 11 Rough Hands Equipment (Not my rip) Turntable: Pro-Ject Debut III Esprit w/ acrylic platter Cartridge: Ortofon 2M Red @ 1.7grams Pre Amp : Pioneer SA-510 DAC : M-Audio 2496 PCI Sitting a head above their peers in the emo/post-hardcore scene of the 2000s, Alexisonfire seem to get better with each release. Now a muscular force to be reckoned with, Crisis is the band's best album to date. The guys don't sound like an emo act trying to earn its tough-guy stripes through spastic freakouts and raw, throat-shredding shouts. Instead, they fully embrace the glory of post-hardcore with aggression, passion, and a controlled intensity that pushes their playing, singing, and - yes, screaming - to the limit, although not without direction or need. Chaos is in balance on Crisis, from the multi-vocalist dynamics and driving rhythms to the pummeling drumbeats and spiraling guitars. Even the "this is where we scream bloody murder and this is where we sing" components are seamlessly pieced together, building upon - or bouncing off of - one another without disjointed headache-inducing results
