"Blops" or "Locomotora (Locomotive)" is the third and final album of the Chilean band Los Blops. It was recorded in 1972 and released in 1973. Their two previous albums were folk-rock but "Locomotive" is purely a progressive-rock album. It contains longer cuts and consists entirely of instrumentals. Guitarist Julio Villalobos played on the first two albums but did not play on "Locomotora". He retired and his place was assumed by pianist Juan Carlos Villegas. The album was recorded in only 14 hours at RCA studios in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The studio was available for the band thanks to producer Pepe Romeu. The album received scant promotion. Only 500 copies were issued in Chile. The master was lost during the post-coup era
