Based on the book by Sir Laurens der Post, FURYO - In the Name of Honor, recounts the tense conflict between brutal Japanese commanders and their British prisoners obstinate. The year is 1942 and the world is at war. Taken prisoner by the Japanese in a concentration camp on the island of Java, the British officer Jack Celliers (David Bowie), a conflict begins when he decides not to abide by the rules dictated by Captain Yonoi (Ryuichi Sakamoto), a ruthless Japanese commander. But among them is Colonel John Lawrence (Tom Conti), a man who has a great love for the Japanese culture and language, but it becomes a threat to be the one to understand both sides.
