Jill is recently widowed. She knows that her husband had worked in Antarctica many years before and was captivated by the place. She there fore embarks on a cruise of the southern ocean, determined to leave his ashes in the place he loved. Unfortunately, it is not as easy as she imagines.

A comic sub-plot involves Jill's man mad sister's pursuit of the leader of the expedition!

The play comes to a very satisfactory conclusion for Jill - if not her sister!
